Public Ruling No. 01/2025 – Lialibility of Operator and Digital Platform Service Providers (DPSP) to Account for Tourism Tax Received

- For your information, Public Ruling No. 01/2025 – Lialibility of Operator and Digital Platform Service Providers (DPSP) to Account for Tourism Tax Received will be effective on 1 December 2025.
- This Public Ruling will replace Tourism Tax (TTx) Policy No. 2/2023 regarding the Extension of Liability to Collect, Account and Remit Tourism Tax on Tourists who make an Online Bookings of Accommodation Premises in Malaysia through Registered Digital Platform Service Provider (DPSP) which will be end on 31 December 2025.
- In this regard, Operators and Digital Platform Service Provider (DPSP) must comply with the provisions outlined in the Public Ruling.

Kindly be informed that there will be service disruption due to a technical issue involving the server of Customs Call Centre System. This disruption is expected to temporarily affect system access and functionality.
The dates for the Customs Call Centre System access disruption are as follows:
